Managing Bookings and Your Team

Once appointments start coming in, Sully gives you multiple ways to view, manage, and organise your day. Here's how to make the most of your booking management tools.

Viewing Your Bookings

Sully offers three views for your bookings, accessible from the left sidebar:

  • Dashboard — a quick overview showing today's appointments, the next 7 days, and key stats at a glance
  • Calendar — a visual calendar view where you can see appointments laid out by date. Click any date to see that day's bookings
  • List — a detailed list of all bookings with sorting and filtering options. Great for searching by client name, date, or status

Booking Statuses

Every booking has a status that you can update as things progress:

  • Pending — the booking has just come in and hasn't been confirmed yet
  • Confirmed — you've confirmed the appointment (clients receive an email)
  • Arrived — the client has checked in for their appointment
  • Completed — the appointment is finished
  • Cancelled — the booking was cancelled (by you or the client)
  • No-show — the client didn't turn up

You can change a booking's status by clicking on it and using the status dropdown. This helps your team know exactly what's happening throughout the day.

Creating Manual Bookings

For phone or walk-in appointments, click the + New Booking button (top right of the Dashboard or List view). Fill in the client name, phone/email, service, team member, date, and time slot. The booking is created instantly and the client receives a confirmation email.

Managing Your Team

Head to Settings → Team to manage the stylists, barbers, or therapists on your roster. Here you can:

  • Add team members — give each one a name and a colour so they're easy to spot on the calendar
  • Assign services — choose which services each person offers
  • Edit or remove — update details or take someone off the roster as your team changes

Assigning a Team Member to a Booking

When you open a booking's details, you can assign it to a specific stylist or therapist. Clients can also request their preferred team member at the time of booking, and you can reassign later if needed.

This is especially useful on busy days — you can see at a glance who each appointment is with, spot gaps in someone's diary, and balance the workload across the team.

Modifying and Cancelling Bookings

To change a booking's details (service, date, time, team member, or notes), click on the booking from any view and edit the fields you need. Changes are saved automatically and the client is notified if their time or date changes.

To cancel, change the status to Cancelled. The client receives a cancellation email. You can add a note explaining the reason if you like.

Using the Schedule View

The Schedule view (in the sidebar) gives you a timeline-style view of your day's appointments. This is particularly useful for seeing how bookings overlap, identifying gaps in the diary, and keeping each stylist's day running smoothly.

Tip for busy days

Use the Schedule view during opening hours and the List view for admin. Calendar is best for planning ahead and spotting quiet days where you might want to run a promotion.
